Animals Protecting Their Young

The word “animal” comes from the Latin word animale, neuter of animalis, and is derived from anima, meaning vital breath or soul. In everyday colloquial usage, the word usually refers to non-human animals. The biological definition of the word refers to all members of the Kingdom Animalia, including humans. Here are some collected photos and videos we wanted to share them with you.

The dog vs. the squirrel was the best. The facial expression of the dog was priceless…buck teeth and all.

I strongly suspect the dog & squirrel photographs were taken in the opposite order to that in which they are shown.
If only humans would have more compassion towards animals.
